My classes involve a combination of classical Pilates repertoire and a fusion of dance and yoga inspired movement too. I like clients to leave my classes feeling awakened, strengthened and able to move with more freedom.
I really enjoy the way that Pilates repertoire involves whole body movement integration, and requires a mindful, precise practice in which you get to know and improve your own technique.
Pilates was a natural progression for me after spending many years training in classical ballet. I gained my Advanced Mat Pilates whilst living in London and have been instructing and continuing to learn from others since moving back to NZ in 2011. I also have a BA(Hons) Degree in Dance Education, and teach most forms of dance at a ballet studio in the city.
I have two little girls under the age of 5 and so being a mummy is what I am doing most of the time when I am not in the studio!
